FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
Which games does KaisenPlay offer?
Currently Minecraft, Rust and Satisfactory. More games are on the way – and your wishes help us decide which ones.
How do I get a game server?
Through our request form or by email to [email protected]. We’ll get in touch personally, put together the right server for you and send you your Game Panel login details.
How much does a game server cost?
That depends on the game and your plans – for example, how many people will play. Request your server and you’ll get a personal quote.
Where are the servers located?
In a data center near Frankfurt am Main. We own the servers ourselves – your data stays in Germany.
Is my server protected against attacks?
Yes. Game servers are sometimes overloaded with so-called DDoS attacks. Our protection detects these attacks automatically and filters them out within seconds – you don’t have to configure anything.
How do I manage my server?
Easily in your browser – in our Game Panel at gameserver.kernhosting.com. There you start your server, invite friends, make backups and change settings. You’ll find an overview on the Game Panel page.
How do my friends join the server?
You’ll see your server’s address in the Game Panel. Send it to your friends – they add it to the server list in the game and they’re good to go. In Minecraft, you use the whitelist to decide who can play.
Do I need technical knowledge?
No. We set up your server for you, and in the Game Panel you can do everything with just a few clicks. If you ever get stuck, our team will help you personally.
Are there backups?
Yes. You create and restore backups yourself in the Game Panel, and you can set up regular backups via automations. In addition, a copy is stored on external storage.
What happens if my server crashes?
The panel restarts it automatically after a few seconds – at most three times in ten minutes, so a crash loop doesn’t run forever. If you like, you’ll get a message in your Discord channel.
I had a game server with KernHosting. What happens to it?
It keeps running and remains accessible in the Game Panel. KernHosting’s game servers have moved to KaisenPlay – same hardware, same team.
